Lucy JarvisCommunity News

A HIGH Wycombe man (25) has a broken arm and cut above his eye after falling down a cliff face in Karijini National Park yesterday.

WA Police spokesman Sam Dinnison said police received an emergency call at Joffre Gorge about 10.30am on July 13, with park rangers reporting a man had fallen about 2-3m and had head and arm injuries.

“Tom Price Police, St John Ambulance and State Emergency Service volunteers attended the scene along with the rangers,” he said.

“It was decided the only way to safely rescue the man was to undertake a vertical lift rescue back up the cliff face.
