TODAY marks a special Mother’s Day for one lucky West Australian after winning a $2.6 million division 1 Lotto prize last night.

The winning ticket was bought from Newburn Newsagency in High Wycombe.

Store owner Eddy Nitiprecha said it was the second division 1 winner he had sold in his 12 years of ownership.

“I’m so happy I’ve made one of my customers a multi-millionaire and I just want to congratulate them,” he said.

“The Lotto luck is here to stay and we’re going for a third big win. Hopefully my big Buddha will help with that.”

A further 190,640 other WA players picked up a Superdraw prize last night, including 19 lucky locals who each pocketed a division 2 prize worth almost $10,000.

WA’s tally of division 1 Lotto winners for the year has reached 24. These winners have shared in almost $62 million of prizes.

The $2.6 million division 1 winner from last night’s Superdraw remains unclaimed.
