Hills volunteers among the top in the State

Sally McGlewMidland Kalamunda Reporter

Six residents in the Hills region have been recognised for their service to the community in the Darlington, Lesmurdie and Helena Valley area.

The WA Volunteer Service Awards program recognises those who have provided 25 or more and 50 or more years of service to one organisation.

Kalamunda MLA John Day said it was the hard work and commitment of volunteers that helped many community organisations to get to where they were today.

“To contribute over 25 years of continuous to one organisation is a significant contribution to public life and I commend these people for their commitment.”
