Housing support from Criminal Property Confiscation Grants program

SWAN Emergency Accommodation has received $93,500 over two years to employ a social worker to help a targeted group of young people with poor independent living skills move from care into independent living.

Local government groups and not-for-profit community groups can apply for a share of the $4 million from the State Government’s Criminal Property Confiscation Grants program.

Groups can apply for up to $200,000.

Attorney General Michael Mischin said the State’s tough proceeds of crime laws had funded projects that aimed to prevent or reduce drug-related crime and drug abuse or aid law enforcement.
