MIDLAND Gate celebrated the launch of its first stage of renovations with a four-day program of events headlined by My Kitchen Rules 2018 semi-finalist Jazzey Rooney.

A new fresh-food precinct has officially opened its doors with a state-of-the-art fresh food market hall and eight specialty food operators, a new Coles supermarket and dining spaces.

Midland Gate Centre Manager Alison Broadbent said its stage one opening was a significant milestone for the centre and an opportunity to showcase its commitment to offering more choice and greater shopping convenience to the local community.

“Our food central precinct is one of the most comprehensive and unrivalled fresh, specialty food offers available in Perth,” she said.

“With hand-picked specialty food operators such as Midland Fresh, My Health Market, Bakers Delight, Tom’s Meat Market, Elite Supplements and Sushi Sushi, customers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to fresh, local produce.”

As part of stage one, there will be 17 new lifestyle retail stores including Kathmandu, Dymocks, Adairs and Expert Hearing Centre and a new eastern car park with an additional 700 car-parking spaces.

Midland Gate will close and commence upgrade works on its car park on the corner of Great Eastern Highway and Lloyd Street.

Parking at Midland Gate will remain free for shoppers and visitors for a five-hour period.
