KALAMUNDA Christian School hosted its first ‘Laugh Fest’ community night on October 28.

Hundreds of people attended the picnic dinner and performances of comedy classics.

Principal Michelle Cockrell said the school balanced academic achievement with opportunities for students in visual arts, sport, drama, public speaking and performing arts.

“In addition to band and choir performances, performers from our very own X-Factor, our dramatic reading team and our upcoming production of Cinderella and Rockerfella at the Kalamunda Arts Centre enjoyed entertaining the attendees,” she said.

The evening coincided with open classrooms where students displayed their work, a school expo giving information on the school’s programs and teaching methods, and a book fair.
