THE Kalamunda Night Market is fast becoming the most popular night market in Perth.

Offering fresh air for shoppers among the tree tops, this sleepy little Haynes Street becomes a bustling open-air food hall to rival the Night Markets at the Victoria Markets in Melbourne.

Visitors can choose between world food stalls offering everything from nachos to chilentos to Turkish fare.

Artisan stalls offer a mix of home-spun talent and artistic flair, as locals offer their handmade work for sale in an atmosphere of celebration and creativity.

On January 20, the Central Mall and Haynes Street will close to traffic from 6pm, as the area fills with diners and shoppers.

Major event sponsor Elevated Grounds Coffee House will also be open inside the café for those seeking a caffeine fix.

Hannah Mae and the Hoodwinks will entertain the crowd with songs on the main stage and buskers will be on street corners providing other musical offerings.

Run by the Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce, the Kalamunda Night Markets has been operating for 12 months to great community feedback.
