JAZZ in the Park, a popular music series for more than two decades, is running free concerts every week in Stirk Park until April.

Kalamunda Youth Swing Band president Jayne Clark said the concerts featured musicians from primary school age through to their mid-20s.

“These young musos engage the wider community through their passionate performance of jazz, swing, rock ‘n’ roll, funk and soul music,” she said.

“Jazz in the Park and the Kalamunda Youth Swing Band has provided hundreds of young local kids with their first opportunity to perform in public.
