Ten organisations made it to the Orange Tie event at Linton & Kay Galleries recently, where Kanyana was announced the winner.
Nine other contenders were awarded gifts worth $26,000 of advertising sponsorship and cash.
June Butcher said it was a chance for Kanyana to become more recognised.
Every year, we admit 2500 animals to our hospital, and have more than 25,000 people meet an education animal from Kanyana, she said.
This prize will allow us to reach more people and involve a wider community at Kanyana, either as visitors or becoming a volunteer.
The Orange Seed Project recognises WA not-for-profit organisations.
