MIDLAND detectives are investigating a suspicious fire outside a home in Lesmurdie on Friday, March 31.

Just after 11pm, the occupants of a home on Rootes Road were alerted by neighbours that their two cars parked in the driveway were on fire.

It is believed a person or persons set fire to the Mercedes Benz sedan and Toyota Coupe.

The fire totally destroyed the Mercedes and badly damaged the Toyota.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone near Rootes Road who may have seen any suspicious vehicles or persons in the area between 10.30pm and 11.30pm.
