Lesmurdie group gets ready to spring flash mob surprises throughout City of Kalamunda

Sarah BrookesMidland Kalamunda Reporter

WHILE many of us are happy to keep our dance moves private, a new group in Lesmurdie is gearing up for a series of top secret flash mobs.

A flash mob is a large group of people who gather spontaneously at a public location to perform a choreographed dance and then quickly disperse.

Flashmob project manager Maresa Robbers said she started the group after seeing a real need for affordable entertainment for young kids in the area.

“We have plenty of green spaces available to use for free in the City of Kalamunda so I saw this as an amazing free way for kids to have fun and meet new people.

“I created a Facebook page a month ago and the interest has been amazing.”

The next Mob Sesh is on Tuesday, December 16 at 4pm at the Bill Shaw Reserve in Lesmurdie.
