Machete used in Midland fight

UPDATE, March 29: A 20-year-old woman from Midvale has also been charged following a street fight in Midland on Wednesday night.

It will be alleged she hit a man several times with a baseball bat causing injuries, and hit a car parked in the Ewart Street home’s driveway causing damage.

She has been charged with one count of acts or omissions causing bodily harm or danger, and one count of criminal damage or destruction of property.

She is due to appear in Midland Magistrates Court on Tuesday, April 2.

March 28: ONE man was slashed with a machete after a gathering in Midland turned violent on Wednesday night.

He was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with an injury to his hand and this morning is in a stable condition.

A second person also received unknown injuries and was treated at St John of God Midland hospital.

It will be alleged about 9pm outside a home on Ewart Street there was a verbal and physical altercation between two groups of people not known to each other.

Police and the canine squad attended.

A 47-year-old man from Midland was charged with one count of acts or omissions causing bodily harm or danger.

He is due to appear in Midland Magistrates Court on Thursday.
