The CWA is running cooking classes at the Midland Town Hall once a month and want participants to learn the art of cooking healthy meals on a budget with fresh ingredients.

Midland CWA president Maureen Barker said she was very pleased with the classes' popularity.

"We have been working with the City of Swan to build up these classes and help the local cooks who want to get off take away meals as much as they can," she said.

"The classes cost $5 each session and are held on the first Tuesday of the month."
