IT was an unusually quiet start to the New Year at Midland Hospital with the first bub of 2018 not making its arrival until later in the evening.
Aveley couple Tahnee and Joshua Thompson welcomed their daughter Keira Grace at 7.56pm on January 1.
Mrs Thompson said she was surprised her daughter was the first born at the hospital for the New Year.
“Keira’s due date was January 10 so she came more than a week earlier than we were expecting,” she said.
