The annual awards are the result of a partnership between Channel Nine Perth and the WA Police Force to recognise officers who demonstrate exceptional dedication in service excellence.

More than 153 nominations received in 2017 resulted in the nomination of 60 individual officers and 25 police teams, with many officers receiving multiple nominations.

A panel of senior police and sponsor representatives will select the winners according to the values of honesty, respect, fairness, empathy, accountability and openness, along with public confidence in policing.

The winners and runners up will be announced at an awards ceremony on December 7 at Crown Perth.
