Police say he returned home from hospital and at 3.30am the next day heard shouting outside.

On opening his front door, he saw a man with two bottles containing liquid and a rag coming out the top.

He attempted to light the contents of the bottle while making threats towards the victim before fleeing when police were called.

Police believe the two incidents are linked and have described the offender as fair skinned, aged between 20 and 25, about 180cm tall, wearing a grey hooded jumper, blue bandana and glasses.
