Midland detectives seek information on Bellevue service station robbery

MIDLAND Detectives are seeking further information about a robbery in Bellevue on Tuesday, April 3 which resulted in a man being charged.

Police allege the male offender entered a service station at 7am on Great Eastern Highway in Bellevue and selected an item from the fridge.

He attended the counter attempting to pay for the item with a card, however the transaction was declined.

The offender stole the item and walked towards the front door of the service station where he was stopped by a staff member.

The offender pushed the male victim into some shelving before walking out the door.

The victim approached the offender outside of the premises.

The offender allegedly kicked the man to the body, causing minor injuries, and punched him a couple of times to the head and face causing facial injuries.

A 21-year-old man from Midvale has been charged with robbery and appeared in Midland Magistrates Court today.

He has been remanded and is next due to appear in the same court tomorrow.

Detectives believe there were several people in the vicinity at the time who may have seen the incident.
