Midland Police charge second woman over aged care assault

MIDLAND Police have charged a second woman as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of assault at an aged care facility in Midland.

It will be alleged between 20 September and 3 October 2016, a 61-year-old employee of Morrison Lodge assaulted a 92-year-old female resident on seven occasions.

A Swan View woman was charged with seven counts of aggravated common assault and will appear before Midland Magistrates Court on November 18.

Last week, police charged a 38-year-old Midland woman with five counts of aggravated common assault during the same period.

She is due to appear before Midland Magistrates Court on November 25.
