Midland police hunt thief who hid machete down pants

Justin BianchiniMidland Kalamunda Reporter

MIDLAND police are hunting a man who stole a machete from a Bellevue store by placing it down his pants.

They say he and another man entered the Clayton Street shop on July 11 about 9.15am and walked to its rear.

One of them used a Stanley knife to remove plastic packing around a machete. He has then placed it down the front of his pants and left the store with the other man.

Police have released a CCTV image of two men they believe can help them with the theft.
