Midland: police investigate armed man who attempted to grab teenage girl

MIDLAND detectives are investigating an incident in which a 13-year-old girl was grabbed by a man armed with a knife yesterday.

Police say the teenager was approached by a man on Lloyd Street near Morrison Road last night at 7pm.

The man had a knife and grabbed the victim while threatening her.

The 13-year-old was able to break free and run away from him.

The man did not chase the girl and instead walked away.

He is described as 30 to 40-years-old, 165-170cm tall, with dark curly hair and a muscular build.

He was wearing a black hat, a black hooded jumper, black Adidas pants with white stripes down the side and runners with blue on them.
