Midland: police on hunt for man who stole digital multimeter

A MAN who gave a handwritten note to staff at a Midland retail store asking for a digital multimeter ran off after it was handed over.

Police have released CCTV images of the man who entered the Great Eastern Highway shop about 10.40am on Wednesday, May 3.

The shop assistant had put the $579 blue coloured Digitech QM1577 multimeter on the counter after receiving the note when the man picked it up and ran out the door towards Cope Street.

He is described as light skinned, between 20 to 25 years old, medium build with short dark hair and was wearing a green/brown jacket, long cream pants and dark shoes.
