Midland Saleyards: demolition begins to make room for new developments

DEMOLITION is underway at the former Midland Saleyards site at the corner of Lloyd and Clayton streets.

Aigle Royal will develop the 14ha site into a new light industrial, large format retail and commercial area to provide new services to the area.

Trade activity at the saleyards ground to a halt in 2010 after 100 years and moved to the new livestock facility in Muchea.
