WORLD-renowned acts are heading to Midland in 2018 after local businesses banded together to bring the wildly successful Fringe World Festival back to the region.
Stevenson Theatre owner Tabetha Vagliviello said organisers had signed up an array of local, national and international acts to perform.
“We have joined forces with Seventh Ave and the Robot Bun Factory to form the Pickled Swan, a Fringe Festival hub bringing this popular event to Midland,” she said.
“We have so many exciting shows lined up, including Irish music comedian Aindrias Stack, a drag show called Diva, Red Light Cabaret as well as karaoke and plays.
“There will also be plenty of events for the kids from dancing, to roaming reptiles to family theatre sports.”
Ms Vagliviello said the return of Fringe would liven up Midland.
“There is a change in the air and people are seeing we are not the old derelict Midland anymore,” she said.
“We are like an up and coming Subiaco with gorgeous little multicultural restaurants popping up.
“Now we are calling on the community to support this fabulous event and embrace the cultural change in Midland.”
The festival runs from January 26 until February 25.
