LOCALS and their furry friends turned out at Wiluna Park in Midvale to enjoy a unique Santa Paws Christmas event at Movida Estate.

The Swan Valley Singers belted out Christmas carols and Santa turned up with the East Swan Fire Brigade.

Greyhounds as Pets were there, sharing information about their adoption program with the community and the pet-friendly photo booth proved to be a massive hit.

A highlight of the day was the competitions with three lucky winners taking home prizes sourced from local home-based business Kyle’s Doggie Delights.

Congratulations to Taika who won waggliest tail, Terri-Lea and Chloe were best dressed and taking out the coveted pet-owner look-a-like competition were Tony and Ollie.

Peet Limited managing director Brendan Gore said it was wonderful to see the community enjoy the event.

“There’s a strong sense of community spirit that’s developed at Movida,” he said.

“And events like this one are another way for residents to connect and build a sense of identity for their community.”
