Opportunity for kids to meet AFL greats

Sarah BrookesMidland Kalamunda Reporter

WEST Coast Eagles fans will have the opportunity to meet the AFL greats at a community fan day in Forrestfield.

Lewis Jetta, Jeremy McGovern, Andrew Gaff and Tom Hickey will take to Hawaiian’s Forrestfield Forum on May 2 from 5pm to 7pm alongside mascots Rick the Rock and Auzzie the Eagle.

Kids can track how fast they can kick a football in the West Coast Eagles speed cube, and practice their handballing at the giant inflatable target and grab a selfie with their favourite players.

A live Q&A session will be held with players on the day, with five lucky winners receiving a West Coast Eagles pack on the day if they’re chosen to ask a question.

Hawaiian CEO Russell Gibbs said the partnership with the West Coast Eagles allowed Hawaiian to provide the local communities with opportunities to come together.

“As a proud partner of the West Coast Eagles for the past eight years, we have been able to engage with Western Australians across our 10 suburban shopping centres and provide them access to their favourite Eagles players.”

“Families have the opportunity to spend some time with their favourite sporting heroes – a treasured memory that we hope will inspire children to chase their own footy dreams.”
