Perth Uber driver charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a passenger

POLICE have charged a Uber driver after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman.

It is alleged that on January 8 this year a 31-year-old man picked up the woman aged in her 20s from South Guildford and indecently assaulted her during the journey to Victoria Park.

The Armadale man has been charged with two counts of indecent assault and sexual penetration without consent.

He will face Perth Magistrates Court today.

The Department of Transport has been notified of the incident.
