POLICE are appealing for information from witnesses who saw a red Ford Festiva hatch driven near the time of an alleged hit and run in Kalamunda early yesterday morning.
A 40-year-old cyclist was taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries about 6.45am following the crash close to the intersection of Kalamunda and St Emilies roads.
The hospital confirmed the cyclist is in a stable condition.
Investigating officers identified a vehicle of interest and spoke to a 21-year-old woman from Kalamunda who allegedly failed two breath tests.
Police said inquiries continue and charges will be laid once a medical assessment is completed on the cyclist.
