Police charge woman over prison attack on convicted killer Trudi Lenon

POLICE have charged a 35-year-old woman over the prison attack on the woman who killed Kwinana teenager Aaron Pajich-Sweetman.

44-year-old Trudi Lenon was attacked at Bandyup Women’s Prison at 8.25am on January 1 when a container of boiling water was poured over her.

She received serious burn injuries and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital, where she is still being treated more than a fortnight later.

Another 47-year-old prisoner, who was standing nearby, received minor burn injuries in the incident.

The 35-year-old woman was charged with two counts of an act or omission causing bodily harm or danger.

She will appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on February 2.
