POLICE are looking for a man who stole gold chains from a Midland shopping centre jewellery store last month.

The man entered the shop about 11.45am on Thursday, July 27 and asked a staff member to help him choose a gold chain to buy.

He tried on a few different designs before grabbing two of the gold chains from a tray and running from the store.

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can help with their investigation.

He is described as light skinned, a thin to medium build with short wavy dark coloured hair and sideburns.

He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a white emblem on the back and dark long pants.
