Printmakers Association of WA hosting exhibition at Zig Zag Cultural Centre

LOVERS of artist-made fine art prints are invited to the official opening the 2016 Printmakers Association of WA (PAWA) exhibition opening at the Zig Zag Gallery on Saturday April 30 at 3pm.

Come along and enjoy wine, soft drinks and nibbles while examining contemporary fine art prints from WA’s best printmakers.

The 2016 PAWA exhibition will showcase a large variety of PAWA members’ talents, including etching, screen printing, woodcut, collagraph, and more.

Artists include Rosemary Mostyn, Hilda Klap, Shelley Cowper, James Larkins, Sue Marshall, Marcus Napieraj, Jean Aitken, Dallas Perry, Beth Porter, Liz Morrison from Morrison art plus many more accomplished printmakers.

The association was founded in 1974 with the intent of providing support for members as they pursue professional exposure in the artistic field of printmaking.

PAWA currently has 110 artist members.

Shire President Andrew Waddell said the intricate and diverse works of the previous annual printmaking exhibitions had been a particular favourite of the gallery’s patrons, and he looked forward to unveiling another stunning range of works at the opening.

The 2016 PAWA exhibition will continue until Sunday, May 15.

The Zig Zag Gallery is located at 50 Railway Road, Kalamunda.
