So art lovers and wine connoisseurs will both be happy with the new Uncorked exhibition opening at Houghton Winery next week, featuring artwork from three Heathcote Studio artists.
Roger Reading, Honor Lovis and Mary Crawford credit an art tour of Tuscany for their inspiration to organise their first group exhibition.
Reading said they each brought something different, with the exhibition including a mixture of paintings, fabric sculpture and repurposed objects found in nature.
We share a common love of art but from completely different viewpoints and with totally different styles, he said.
Im very excited, not least because it is a chance to showcase what I have done over the past few years and receive public endorsement that I can produce pleasing and worthwhile work.
It is going to be incredible and we all have much to offer anyone. It will be a fun exhibition in a beautiful setting and should not be missed.
Lovis said she was looking forward to exhibiting with her close friends.
We all knew we could bring something different to the table and as we are such good friends, we knew we could work together to make it a success, she said.
I love working with the others and look forward immensely to displaying my art and creative pieces.
Crawford said she loved how expressive, soothing and illuminating art was, and was looking forward to showing off her work to a wider audience.
In a word, Im excited, she said. The exhibition will expand your minds and you will see what can be done.
Uncorked is on from August 29 until September 30.
The artists hold a meet and greet on August 30 from 2 to 4pm.
