A REBELS Outlaw Motorcycle Gang member has been arrested after a search warrant was executed on his Midland home by Gang Crime Squad officers yesterday.

During the June 29 search police allegedly located and seized a handgun and ammunition.

Officers also seized the 24-year-old man’s Rebel Outlaw Motorcycle Gang colours in relation to other offences under investigation.

“The Gang Crime Squad is ramping up overt policing methodologies to disrupt and contain criminal activity conducted by members of outlaw motor cycle gangs,” Detective Senior Sergeant Jason Blaine said.

The man is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court on July 28, charged with aggravated possession of a firearm, unlicensed possession of ammunition, possessing drug paraphernalia, and fighting in public to cause fear.
