Residents shaken after hearing gunshot at Midvale property

RESIDENTS have been left shaken after hearing a gunshot at a property in Ferguson Street, Midvale this afternoon.

A Police spokeswoman said a man was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance after the shooting, which happened about 12.45pm.

One man, believed to be the victim’s uncle, said his nephew had sustained injuries to his leg.

A local resident told the Midland Reporter that the street, which runs off Great Eastern Highway, “has its moments”.

Ferguson Street remains cordoned off by a police roadblock.

Police said they believed the men were known to each other, and were conducting further inquiries.
