Rose and Crown Hotel celebrates 175th birthday in style

HUNDREDS of revellers packed the Rose and Crown Hotel in Guildford last night to help the iconic venue celebrate its 175th birthday.

Guests enjoyed tastings from a range of local wineries and producers, including Talijancich Wines, Upper Reach Winery, Sandalford, Fairbrossen, Feral Brewing Company, Sitella, and Faber.

Owners Mark and Tracy Weber paid tribute to their family, their staff and the loyal customers who he said continued to make the hotel successful, year after year.

The couple cut a large Australiana-themed birthday cake and invited guests to stay on and continue the celebrations into the night.
