Mr Day said the installation of the LED signs was part of a 2013 election commitment to provide the signs to all 1071 schools in WA by 2017.

He said the electronic school zone signs were a real-time reminder for motorists to slow down through school zones and help protect children.

“I am constantly reminded by parents and teachers of the importance of these signs to remind motorists to drive at 40km/h in the school zone,” Mr Day said.
