Shire of Kalamunda Community Care clients now have choice of provider

SHIRE of Kalamunda Community Care recipients will now have a choice of service provider after the council decided to move its Home and Community Care (HACC) program to the Rise Network and its Community Visitor Scheme (CVS) program to People Who Care later this year.

Shire President Andrew Waddell said the Shire would provide support and assistance to recipients who choose to move to these service providers or any other service provider of their choice.

Cr Waddell said the Shire was not alone in making this decision, with other local governments holding service reviews and considering the transfer of services in light of aged care reform and the growing competitiveness within the sector.
