A SOUTH Guildford man says he is going to take his first holiday in 25 years after winning almost $650,000 in lotto at the weekend.

Purchased through his Lotterywest membership online in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, the man said his Division 1 Lotto win was a welcome surprise.

“After I pay off my mortgage, I’m going to do something for me,” he said.

“Maybe take a cruise for a few months to see a few corners of the world.”

The latest win adds to Western Australia’s fast growing tally of Division 1 Lotto winners in 2018 which has now reached 12.

Lotterywest spokeswoman Pina Compagnone said there was no sign of things slowing down this week with two big draws taking place over the next few days.

“After six weeks of jackpotting, Powerball will offer a $40 million prize pool tomorrow night – the second largest jackpot to be offered across the nation this year,” Ms Compagnone said.

“This will be followed by this weekend’s $20 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw.”
