Swan Friendship Cafe: fundraising efforts to help get club back on feet

Montana ArdonMidland Kalamunda Reporter

FORMER employees of Midland’s much-loved Swan Friendship Cafe will host a sausage sizzle this Friday at Bunnings in Midland, kicking off a number of fundraising events to get the Swan Friendship Club back on its feet.

The Centrepoint cafe offered training, employment and hope to young people living with disabilities for almost a decade, but was forced to shut its doors in May due to financial constraints.

Former manager Maria Sorgiovanni and other volunteers from the Swan Friendship Club will be cooking up a storm at the Great Eastern Highway store.
