A MAN has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly attacking woman as she lay on the ground outside a Perth home.
The 31-year-old is also accused of turning on a neighbour who came to the woman’s aid at Swan View on Saturday night.
The neighbour was left with a fractured skull, broken nose and possible fractured cheek, police said.
The woman, aged in her 60s, knew her alleged attacker and was treated for bruising her to torso after also being kicked and hit with a piece of wood.
The 31-year-old fled the scene but was soon arrested, and is to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court today charged with various aggravated assault offences.
