“I was scrolling through Facebook and saw that the winning ticket had been sold at Midland Gate so I yelled out to my missus to see where she’d got our ticket from.

“I’m just glad I was sitting down when I checked the winning numbers.”

The man’s wife said she hadn’t slept a wink since finding out that the couple were Midland’s missing millionaires.

“Every half hour, I’d jump up out of bed – heart racing – to check that the winning ticket was safe and sound,” she said.

“I recently lost my job so this ticket is completely life-changing for us.”
