JANE Brook siblings McKenzy (6), Declan (8) and Lincoln Harris (9) are preparing to colour and cut their locks for the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave.

Lincoln said he wanted to help eradicate blood cancer which claimed more lives than breast cancer or melanoma.

“My brother and sister will be dyeing their hair green in support of our fundraising and I’m ready to get my shaggy hair cut on my 10th birthday so it doesn’t hang in my face any more,” he said.

“But at least when it hangs in my eyes it reminds me that I’m lucky enough to not have leukaemia and lucky enough that my hair can grow.

“Not everyone is so lucky.

“I want everyone to be aware of this deadly illness, because education is powerful and getting people educated means they will be more aware of the situation and hopefully more willing to donate.”

The Upper Swan Primary School students are aiming to raise $450 for the Leukaemia Foundation.

They are seeking a local hairdressing business who would be willing to donate their time and hair dye for the trio on March 15.
