Wattle Grove robbery: police seek witnesses to Puma service station hold up

MIDLAND Detectives are seeking help to identify a man in their investigation into an armed robbery in Wattle Grove on Wednesday .

About 8:30pm, a man entered the Puma service station on Welshpool Road East, Wattle Grove.

Acting Inspector Mark Stoneman said the man walked into the service station and spoke to the attendant.

“When the attendant turned his back, the man walked around behind the counter, removing a beanie, plastic bag and a knife from his pocket,” he said.

“He threatened the attendant with the knife, obtained cash and left on foot.”

Inspector Stoneman said the man in the CCTV footage could help police with their inquiries.

“He had olive skin, dark, short curly hair, was about 175-180cms tall, of medium build and in his mid 20s.

“He was wearing a red zip up jacket, dark blue/black shorts and white shoes.”
