FORRESTFIELD MLA Nathan Morton held a fundraiser for domestic violence on October 25 as part of the third ‘Women of Forrestfield’ event .
Having previously shone a light on breast cancer, Mr Morton and his High Wycombe electorate office focused on the issue of domestic violence culminating in a morning tea to raise awareness and funds to a related charity.
“While men can also be victims of domestic violence, as men, domestic violence is our issue to solve and we need to start recognising that,” Mr Morton said.
“It’s up to us to speak up when we see an abusive relationship. If we know a victim is in trouble, we need to call the police.”
