"TIS nice to see at least one city councillor talking about saving the “old town centre” (Bailey walks the talk on pedestrians, Reporter August 25).

But he has the wrong street. It is the intersection of Great Northern Highway and Morrison Road that is causing all sorts of problems for everybody.

It is too late to wonder why it was made, but something really has to be done before anger takes hold.

Of course being a local, let us liven up the town centre but consult with us first and not just with selected groups who may not live in the area.
