Jobs saved by Labor

Its policies not only saved thousands of jobs by stopping Australia going into recession but also created almost an extra million jobs.

Joe Hockey claimed early on that Labor should not have spent the surplus.

However, where would Australia be today if Labor had not used the money for Australia to keep moving ahead while much of the world’s economy collapsed?

In recession, that’s where.

By guaranteeing the banks, they were able to lend to small businesses that would have collapsed if thousands had been out of work and unable to buy from those businesses, while also protecting people’s savings.

Business and homes would have been lost.

Anyone who has had a job during this time should thank Labor.
