EVEN with the increase in rail fares, I am certain that it is cheaper to travel from Midland to Perth using the railway, rather than driving (free off-peak for us seniors).
It also avoids the necessity of finding (and paying for) somewhere to park in Perth.
However, I observe that, student times excepted, the bus services to Midland station are very poorly used.
Surely, a logical assessment of local bus services can be made to make them more user friendly, thereby relieving the excessive pressure on the station car park, and reducing the number of cars on our roads.
