WE thank the Shire of Kalamunda’s chief executive for the amazing upgrade to the Bill Shaw Reserve.
It has innovative design, best functionality for all ages and complements the ongoing transformation of the grounds of Kalamunda Christian School over the road.
Someone has put a great deal of thought into this design, and it has been carried out with attention to detail and workmanship.

Our boys are basketball mad WABL players aged 11 and 14, and they ride their bikes every Saturday to this reserve, arranging to meet up with others.
Dare we say it ” can we have some more basketball courts, please?
We have observed youngsters and adults interacting and sharing the space, with minimal problems, and great enjoyment and at all times of the weekend and week.
The actual playground area by the reserve is packed over the weekend with families using it.
The extra attention to detail with carefully placed benches, barbecue areas and landscaping detail, plus the added bonus of ablution blocks, makes this a first-class community area to be enjoyed by all.
