SEASONED performers and fresh young faces highlight the 22-member Australian squad named for the 2017 UCI Track World Championships in Hong Kong next month.
Four returning world champions in Rebecca Wiasak (ACT), Alex Porter (SA), Callum Scotson (SA) and Sam Welsford (21, WA), punctuate the selections.
The team is further bolstered with world-class riders Matthew Glaetzer (SA), former Midland Cycle Club member Cameron Meyer (29, WA), Kaarle McCulloch (NSW), Amy Cure (Tas) and Ashlee Ankudinoff (NSW).

Olympic silver medallists Welsford and Scotson and fellow reigning world champion Porter return to the men’s track endurance squad, as does six-time world champion Meyer.
Meyer and Welsford have already tasted international success this summer with World Cup gold in the points race and omnium respectively.
