KALAMUNDA Cougars enter the 2017 A-grade WAAFL season full of optimism, after landing some big off-season recruits.

New coach and club legend Steve Bongiovanni will be joined in the job by former Swan Districts champion Justin Simpson, who will also play.

Joining Simpson is 2010 premiership teammate Brett Robinson, who along with other ex WAFL talent, look to make the Cougars their home in this year.

Lots of new colts players have also joined the club, and with the returning talent the future looks bright.

The season starts this Saturday at home on Ray Owen Reserve, with the colts starting at 10.40am, reserves at 12.35pm and the league bounce down at 2.30pm.

Come up and support the lads.
