Over the past 17 years, Koongamia has become the only Aboriginal-run football club in Perth.

“The Koongamia Football club has worked with thousands of young Aboriginal people and their resilient communities,” a club spokesman said.

“The club has been recognised and respected as a leading grassroots football club encouraging Noongar people to engage in a sporting club.

“Football remains at the heart of Koongamia Football Club, and we would like to build the connection between football and communities.

“The club has new management and are wanting new players to come down all welcome.”

Training is held on Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

It is at Koongamia Football Oval on the corner of Jinda Road and Clayton Street in Koongamia.
